Trade Finance

Trade finance is a form of finance, or arrangement where the purchaser (importer) may request that the seller (exporter) send a form of proof that the goods have been shipped and are of the correct quantity. In return the seller (exporter) may request that the purchaser (importer) pay for the goods in full prior to shipping. Trade finance can involve the buyers and sellers banks being involved to insure that the transaction is carried out with minimum hassles.
