With access to bank funding having severely tightened, more and more small-to-medium businesses are getting finance brokers to go into bat for them to negotiate and secure better deals for overdrafts, debtor finance facilities, mortgages, and equipment funding.
As bank funding for small businesses has become much more difficult to secure, brokers are being used more frequently because of their direct links to the key lending decision-makers at the banks.
The process for small businesses to secure finance has become much tougher. For a long time, businesses had been able to get easy access to funding from the banks without the need to form a working relationship.
